Glencoe is a portrait of life on the mountain across all four seasons — following how people access the outdoors through walking, skiing, mountain biking and more. This prelude is part of a wider ambition to build a more in-depth documentary feature, exploring the day-to-day operations of this important and beautiful location alongside the challenges of a changing climate and unpredictable weather.
Told through key scenes from a range of different perspectives, the film aims to build a genuine connection between viewer and landscape — championing the wellbeing benefits of time outdoors, and the importance of protecting this environment for future generations. It also looks beyond the resort itself, into the more remote reaches of the mountain, to show what lies past the usual boundaries of this hugely important community landscape.
